A grassroots brand I helped start in high school, 48SIA was meant to advocate for student excellence, most especially within our Asian American peers. Growing up in Irvine, California, a city dominated by many Asian American populations, we wanted to find some way to support students in a way we knew how: within an apparel company.
It spoke to communicate values we stood for: Community, Growth, Passion, & Drive. We wanted our pieces to reflect that, and within word of mouth, physical transactions, and digital channels, we sold over 1,500 pieces. Our most famous pieces are included below.
